The Cathedral of Notre-Dame is one of Paris's most recognizable buildings - it stands proudly unobstructed from view on the Place du Parvis Notre-Dame on the Ile de la Cite.
This photograph was taken from the Left Bank late on a winter afternoon with the fading light of the setting sun catching the tops of the two towers.
