BALARD

I recall the excitement of arriving at the Balard metro stop en route to Versailles for the first time
-  I was in high spirits for two reasons:

1. Finally getting to see the Palace of Versailles and the magnificent gardens; and

2. Exhilarated at having just thwarted an attempted pick-pocketing!

It was a memorable day!
