The answer to yesterday's "Where am I?" was La Place de la Bastille.
The torch held by the "genius (or according to some, the messenger) of Liberty was focused upon in the blogpost.
The statue stands atop the Colonne de Juillet and is a memorial to the those who died in the streets of Paris in July 1830.
