This unusual view of the Paris City Hall (L'Hotel de Ville) was photographed from the Quai aux Fleurs on the Ile de la Cite. The original 17th century building was burned down in 1871 and thankfully rebuilt. Guided tours of the building are possible when official functions are not in progress - unfortunately this is not very often.
