APRÈS LA FÊTE

France has the fifth highest per capita wine consumption in the world according to the Wine Institute's 2011 survey. Its consumption of 45.6 litres per person per annum is outranked by:
The Vatican ... 62.2 litres per person per annum (it must include communion for all the visitors)!
Andorra ... 50.4 litres
Luxembourg ... 49.1 litres
and the Norfolk Islands ... 46.3 litres.

The photograph above (taken in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir) is a close approximation of the consumption of two people in a year.
A votre santé!
