LA TOILE D'ARAIGNÉE


These gossamer curtains adorned the windows of the 12th century Abbey of St Martia in Paunat in the Dordogne.

I guess that the church is not used too often as the vaulted ceiling is in a state of collapse.

The spiders seem to have been able to spin their webs undisturbed for decades in this impressive, but virtually unused building.
