THE LOCH BRIDGE, BARKLY EAST
The Loch Bridge over the Kraai River was completed in 1893 and is still in daily use by local farmers and tourists. It is on the road from Barkly East to the ski resort at Tiffendell near the Lesotho border. It was certainly designed and built to last and all at a cost of only 14,772 pounds!
