UN SOURIRE POUR SAMEDI - FIRST AID FOR THE EMPEROR


A few years ago our walk in the Tuileries Garden was interrupted by the scene above ... a Roman emperor had lost an arm in an altercation with vandals!  Emergency reconstructive surgery was required and this earnest young man was doing his best to repair the arm of the disgruntled emperor!

I did not think that the sling wound tightly around the emperor's throat was a good idea, but I did not intervene.
