LA TECHNOLOGIE DE VIN

In most old wine caves one visits, one finds a collection of the machinery used in making wine - some old and really only of historical interest, others modern and usually of stainless steel.  Of course, one also invariably finds collections of bottles where the amount of dust is proportional to the age of the wine.

This flash photograph into the deepest recesses of a cave in the Loir valley reveals all these items, an ancient wooden press, old barrels, dusty bottles and then the stainless steel equipment currently in use.
