EGLISE SAINT-ETIENNE DU MONT

This magnificent church can trace its origins back to the 6th century when it formed part of the abbey of Sainte-Genevieve.  From the original building consecrated in 1222, many additions and renovations have occurred. In 1492 the church was expanded considerably to accommodate the students from the university nearby (I imagine particularly as examinations approached!).
