BOIS DE BOULOGNE


The Bois de Boulogne on the western edge of Paris is all that remains of the once much larger Foret du Rouvre.  In the mid 19th century Napoleon III had the park redesigned and landscaped by Baron Haussmann.

It is a popular area for city dwellers who can run, stroll or cycle on the many roads and pathways that traverse its 865 hectare area.  However it is an area to be avoided after sunset ...
