The narrow corridors of the typical bastide town of Monpazier were originally designed in a grid-like formation to facilitate its defence in the event of invasion.
Now 500 years later the corridors are the domain of a new detachment of defenders - feline prowlers on the look-out for different intruders ... rats and mice!
