ON SAFARI #4 ... PEARL SPOTTED OWLET
This pearl spotted owlet was photographed in the Kruger National Park, where it was seated on a tall twig looking for prey.
It is a member of a group of very small owls, referred to as pygmy owls.
It is only about 14 cm tall.
