LA PEDRERA

The Casa Mila, more popularly known as La Pedrera, was commissioned by a wealthy Barcelona businessman, Pere Mila and his wife in 1906. It was one of the final projects of architect, Antoni Gaudi, before his tragic death.

The house was completed in 1910 and displays many aspects of Gaudi's unique style: the uneven wavy walls, the twisted wrought iron balconies, mosaics and magnificent stained glass windows.

The building is now a UNESCO heritage site.
