CORDES-SUR-CIEL

One of the highlights of our recent trip to France was the morning spent exploring the 13th century town, Cordes-sur-Ciel.  The narrow streets and ancient stone buildings have survived despite the town having been excommunicated during the Cathar wars and its population decimated by epidemics of the plague.

Albert Camus wrote of the town, "Everything is beautiful there, even regret"
