I mentioned I. M. Pei's pyramid in yesterday's post about the Louvre. I think that the pyramid has a completely different character at night when it is lit from the inside giving it a gem like glow as it seems to hover above the dark courtyard. The reflection in the pool completes the illusion that the apparently floating pyramid is not attached to the ground.
