AN IMPRESSIVE ENTRANCE
The entrance to Chateau Courtanvaux was designed to intimidate the unwelcome. It was added to the chateau in 1563. A small stone bridge now replaces the wooden drawbridge that provided access over the moat, but only to "friendly" visitors!
