CISTICOLA CONUNDRUM REVISITED

What I thought was a Cisticola has been identified as a TERRESTRIAL BROWNBUL.

As its name suggests it spends a lot of time on the ground and, according to Roberts, spends a great deal of time out of sight in the thick undergrowth in densely wooded areas - which explains why I have not seen it before.

Its Afrikaans name - BOSKRAPPER - forest scratcher - is an apt description of its reclusive behaviour.

OJ - pleased that the conundrum has been solved!
