The South African President announced stringent new lockdown measures in a broadcast to the nation last night. In an effort to curb the "second wave" surge in Covid-19 infections the country will revert to Level 3 regulations - a 9 pm to 6 am curfew, a ban on the sale of alcohol, the compulsory wearing of masks in public places, the closure of all beaches and many more restrictions.
The road ahead will be difficult to negotiate, but sticking to this path is essential if the destination is to be reached, safely and together.
OJ - masked, socially distanced and being cautious
