My initial reaction when this eagle settled in a tree in our garden was that it was an American Eagle fleeing the turmoil and discord in its homeland!
Was it an asylum seeker?
Closer examination showed that my assumption was wrong - it was, in fact, an African Crowned Eagle searching for its breakfast.
