MONOCHROME MONDAY #102 ... BEYOND OUR IMAGINING

These photographs were taken in Notre Dame on Christmas Eve, 2013 when we attended mass along with hundreds of Parisians and tourists from all over the world.  It was certainly beyond our imagining that the cathedral would be severely damaged in a devastating fire in 2019 and even further from our thoughts, that seven years later the world would be under "lock-down" to restrict the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus - churches emptied, tourists staying at home and the streets of Paris, empty.

Will life as we knew it in 2013 ever be the same again?

  1. Beautiful Notre Dame. You were lucky to have had that experience. One day at a time. Otherwise too overwhelming.
