I have recently returned after two weeks in the Cape and, of course, no visit to that area would be complete without visiting a number of wine farms. Among these was Annandale, a farm that has been producing wine since the 1690s and now owned by the legendary Springbok rugby player, Hempies du Toit. His wine-making philosophy is that Man has little to do with the making of good wine compared with the work done by the Grapes and Time ... and judging by the quality of the wines he produces, this must be a winning formula!
