BOOKS

I attended my monthly book club get-together last night.  What stimulating discussions ensued and for once there was very little on politics - maybe we're all just tired of the circus!
The reviews took us to the streets of Paris, Jerusalem during the Crusades, we accompanied a lone cyclist attempting to break the Cairo to Cape Town record (He succeeded!) and we looked at a recent biography of Napoleon - astonishing that after Jesus Christ, Napoleon has the second highest number of books written about his life!
Books can transport one, entertain and enlighten - what an enjoyable evening!
