On Tuesdays I post something that comes from looking up or looking down. Walking on the pavements of Paris requires paying attention to "looking down" as Parisian dog-owners are notoriously delict in picking up les crottes de chien. The mayor of Paris, Mme Hidalgo has established a special squad of "civility enforcers" to fine Parisians (or visitors) who toss their cigarette butts and other litter in the streets or parks and those who do not pick up after their dogs!
In 2017 some 65,103 fines of 68 euros (or more) were paid, swelling the city's coffers by almost 4 million euros!
I hope these dog owners in a Montmartre park came prepared to ... PICK IT UP!
