"Do our dogs consider us to be their companion humans?"
I am told that our "companion animals" [the term "pet" is apparently no longer politically correct - but I am not sure whose politics is being used when deciding the rectitude of the new term!] view humans as equal partners in their animal-human relationships. These dogs were photographed with their companion human while enjoying the sights near the Eiffel Tour.
