The 1st of April - and the City Daily Photo theme for today is "One Colour" and I have chosen "Shades of Blue". We have learnt to associate distance with the darkness of the shade of blue ... the darker the blue, the closer the object and the light blue objects are further away ... We speak of distant things being "in the blue yonder" and the unexpected coming to us "out of the blue".
This photograph was taken looking down the Entremont Valley from the Col du Granier in the Chartreuse Mountains (Haute Savoie).
