TRANSHUMANCE EN ROUTE 42

The transhumance is the biannual movement of flocks from summer grazing areas to winter grazing areas and six months later, vice versa. We had our progress along the Route 42 through the Langkloof  blocked by this flock of sheep being shepherded along the road by a group of jovial farm-workers - speed seemed unimportant to both the sheep and the workers!
