LASCAUX 4

We recently visited the magnificent new Lascaux 4 museum of parietal art, which is outstanding! Situated near the town of Montignac in the Perigord, it is not to be missed, if in the area.  I thought Lascaux 2 was wonderful, but this surpassed all expectations.

The replicas of the caves and the paintings are so authentically accurate that one feels as though one is in the actual caves.

The ancillary exhibitions and multimedia presentations complete the experience.
