Originally known as Beaumont-du-Perigord, this commune was merged on 1 January 2016, to form Beaumontois-en-Perigord.
The establishment of this bastide town dates back to 1272 when it was founded by King Edward I of England.
The church shown here, the Church of St-Front, was built at the end of the 13th century.
