RAIL BRIDGE AT MAUZAC

Mauzac-et-Grand-Castang is a commune bordering on the Dordogne between Lalinde and Tremolat. At sunset the swans and ducks arrive at the quay hoping for a treat from the passers-by.

The rail bridge built in the 19th century has unusually long elliptical arches designed to reduce the number of piers and thus offer less resistance to the river in times of severe flooding.
