3 PICS: CITROEN 2CV

Just three of the 8,830,679 Citroen 2CVs produced between1948 and 1990.

Although called the deux chevaux their power output ranged from 9 horse-power for the early 375 c.c. engines to 35 h.p. for the 652 c.c. engines used in the final models.

The nicknames given to this iconic automobile in other countries indicate their affection for this classic:

France: Dedeuche
Holland: Lelijke eendjie (ugly duckling)
Belgium: de geit (goat)
Germany: ente (duck)
Switzerland: doschwo
England: flying dustbin, tin snail, tortoise or upside down pram!
