One of the surprises awaiting arriving passengers at Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport is the sight of an Air France Concorde seemingly "frozen" in its take-off.
This tribute acknowledges the world's first supersonic passenger jet which between
1986 and 2003 transported more than 2.5 million passengers in just under 50,000 flights at a cruising speed of 1,350 mph (2,160 km/h) covering the distance between Paris and New York in less than four hours!
