A visit to Paris would be incomplete if one did not climb the steps to Sacre-Coeur and then after admiring the panoramic vista of Paris, stroll on to Montmartre. Here one can enjoy the timeless village atmosphere, slow-paced, convivial, but yet vibrant.
Artists have "colonised" the Place du Tertre where one can have one's portrait painted or purchase a unique memento of one's visit to this remarkable city.
This photograph was taken in mid-December and shows that the near-zero temperatures did not deter the artists or their customers!
