As the sun sets over Paris it is time to close the shutters - however if I lived on the slopes of Montmartre with the incredible view across Paris, I think I'd leave them open!
Regarding the colours of shutters in the different regions of France, I think there's probably a correlation between climate and colour ... the warmer and sunnier the weather, the brighter the colours!
The hypothesis calls for more research. I can't wait to continue with the investigation.
