Not all the birds found in our garden are as good as the Turtle Dove - the symbol of peaceful co-existence and tranquility ...
Some are bad - outright scoundrels - raiding the nests of their neighbours and feeding on their chicks - like this Burchell's Coucal!
And then we have the ugly - in our eyes, but I guess, not in the eyes of a female Trumpeter Hornbill, who may find this enormous nut-cracking bill irresistible!
