MONOCHROME MONDAY #109: GOUDHURST, KENT

St Mary's Church in the small village of Goudhurst in Kent was founded in 1170.

Its prominent hilltop position has made the church a major surveying point in determining precise distances in England and even featuring in the calculation of the exact distance between the Paris Observatory and the Royal Greenwich Observatory.
