The Arrowmarked Babbler is a common resident of the Lowveld bush. This was one of a group foraging for food near our campsite at Jackalberry Ridge. His piercing look reminded me of an investigative journalist trying to uncover the "real story" - possibly to publish in the Bushveld Babbler!
