PARENTAL SUPERVISION

While walking on the beach I noticed a White-fronted Sandplover noisily trying to attract my attention - actually probably trying to distract me from the area where its newborn chicks were venturing out for the first time!  I looked around, and there was one of the chicks … a ball of fluff at the end of two disproportionately long legs.  When they realised I was not a threat, mother and chick were re-united - parental supervision was restored!
