SYMBIOSIS

A mutually beneficial relationship exists between the large mammals of Africa and the Red-billed Oxpecker - the mammals collect the parasitic ticks as they graze in the veld and then the oxpeckers are spared the task of looking for food … they just hop on an animal (in this case a giraffe) and there they find an ample supply of juicy ticks.  The animals don't mind at all - a win-win situation.
