Les Eyzies is a small village (with a big name) in Northern Aquitaine.  It also has a very long history of habitation with many important archaeological sites such as the Lascaux Cave and the Grotte du Grand Roc in the vicinity. The National Museum of Prehistory is also situated in the town.  Les Eyzies lies at the confluence of the Vezere and Beune rivers.
