Many of the birds one encounters in the Kruger Park are brightly coloured ensuring that they are highly visible in the bushveld which is a drab brown colour. These European Bee-eaters illustrate the point I'm making. I suspect the bird on the left is still a juvenile as its colours are not as vivid as those of the bird on the right.
