THE PARIS METRO: ABBESSES

After "walking" through the streets of Paris last week,

I thought a more efficient way of exploring Paris is to

"take the Metro" - so a series of photo's showing various

Metro stations will be featured this week.

I will start with Abbesses a station in Montmartre …
but note the platform is 36 metres below this entrance

and a spiral staircase of about 200 steps awaits the

unsuspecting traveller!
