La transhumance is a tradition of moving livestock from one grazing area to another ... to low-lying areas in winter and back to the highlands in summer. These sheep and their attendant goats were photographed in the alps obviously enjoying their summer sojourn.
Some times the transhumance actually takes shepherds and their flocks through big cities ...
