ARE YOU MY MOTHER?

I have just returned from four days spent in the Addo National Elephant Park where tourists flock to see the "Big Five", but often ignore what I refer to as the Smallish Fifty - which would include the various Mongoose species.  I think this mother and her cub are members of the Yellow Mongoose family.

The cub seems to be checking that he has found the right mother - reminding me of the children's book, "Are you my mother?" - in which a small bird sets off on a journey to find its mother.
