A close-up of a crocodile ... (not in person, merely with the aid of a powerful telephoto lens) in an effort to understand the metaphor "to cry crocodile tears". I was unsuccessful, but a different croc. nearby did improve my understanding of the phrase "having a sardonic smile"!
