ALTYDGEDACHT

The cellar at Altydgedacht - a Cape wine farm that has been making wine since 1702.  Formerly known as Tygerberg, it had the distinction of hosting Napoleon's secretary, the Count de las Cases. After being released from exile on St Helena he stayed on the farm for three months while waiting for a ship to take him back to France.  In his memoirs he noted that a prized rooster as well as a bull on the farm were both named Napoleon!
