Marc Chagall: "a stained glass window is a transparent partition between my heart and the heart of the world"
The Romanesque Church of Saint-Nicholas in Tremolat has the beautiful window on the left on the wall behind the altar.
In the early morning the sun shines through the glass, casting patterns of colour onto the well-worn tiles of the church floor - celebrating what was in the heart of the window maker and the heart of the world in which he plied his trade.
