PARIS IN SUMMER: #1 COPING WITH THE HEAT

Paris can get extremely hot in summer especially in the afternoon. In 2015 the second highest temperature ever recorded in Paris was measured ... 39,7 degrees Celsius!  This was not quite as hot as the 40,4 degrees measured on 28 July 1947.
There are two ways to cope with high temperatures ... one can search for air-conditioned premises, like a museum - the Louvre is always cool; or one can immerse oneself in cool water - the fountains outside the Louvre could be an idea.
