STATUE DE LA HARDE DES CERFS

This statue of a herd of deer by Arthur-Jacques Leduc was unveiled in the Luxembourg Gardens in 1891.

Photographed on an icy winter afternoon, the stag stands guarding his herd, watching and sniffing the air.
