1 June 2017 ... the first day of the month and again I join other members of the City Daily Photo blogging community in posting a picture that illustrates a particular theme and today's theme is "Nature".
I photographed this Robin (un Rouge-gorge familier) in the upper branches of an oak, while walking through a copse of trees near the Dordogne. He was chirping away, either looking for company or announcing that the tree was part of his territory!
Growing up in Africa, Robins, for me, existed only in English story books, children's magazines and Christmas cards, and consequently have become a source of nostalgic fascination whenever I travel overseas.
